Week 30 ABCJLM
So I'm skipping along sharing the learning posters and what ever pictures I managed to capture from 3 months ago. With a new baby and the time lag of these posts, I clearly can't remember the details. I do know though we skipped the assigned review weeks, so that's why there is no week 29.
Our Homschooling Family Now Makes 5
So, this happened on April 7th at 6:06 in the evening. L (I'll figure out a blog nick name for him later) arrived weighing in at 8 lbs, 8 oz after 10 hours of labor at 20.5 inches long, so that's why it's now September and I'm blogging about the end of our school year last year with zero excuses or apologies. It's part of the luxury of homeschooling that it works around real life with out added stress, pressure and feelings of failure. Munchkin and doodlebug did lots of learning, most of it in character development via waiting their turn, sleep deprived mommy and a crying baby. Real. world people :-)
So, we paced out the remaining 6 lessons of school from May through July. The pace was about two weeks per lesson, with breaks for family visiting etc.

Lent 2014
If you receive notifications are actively follow this site, you'll notice I just posted 7 weeks worth of learning. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and blogging has dropped to the bottom of the pile after taking care of my family with the limited energy I currently have.
I do want to spend the time focusing on Jesus' final week including His death, burial and Resurrection. We dug out our decorations, videos, Resurrection Eggs, books and activities.
At the pace we are currently at, we'll still have a couple of weeks of our curriculum depending on when baby boy #3 decides to arrive. I think it will give the older boys something to look forward to and focus on that's just for them and we can go as a relaxed pace as we need to. If it takes 2 or more weeks to cover a week's curriculum, that is okay. That's one of the many assets of doing a home based preschool approach. We have all summer if need be with zero guilt.
