Creation Based Songs:

If you're not familiar with the Creation Song, here it is. I learned it doing VBS in Ukraine and our church does it during Sunday Bible Class.
Day 1, Day 1, God made light when there was none. (repeat each line once)
Day 2, Day 2, God made seas and skies so blue
Day 3, Day 3, God made plants and flowers and trees.
Day 4, Day 4, Sun and moon and stars galore.
Day 5, Day 5, God made birds and fish alive.
6th day, 6th day, God made animals and man that day.
Day 7, Day 7, God rested in His heaven.

Another creation based song we sang:
God made the big round sun, God made the tall tall trees.
God made the birds that fly-- and God made ______
God made the stars that shine, God made the deep blue sea
God made the flowers that boom and God made _____

Traditional song giving God proper credit:
Twinkle twinkle little star, God has made you what you are.
Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle light star, God has made you what you are.

In the process of making sure I got the lyrics exactly right, I came across some great materials. I went to a work shop with other Children's ministry volunteers last fall and they gave us a four inch stack of materials. This afternoon, if we have some down time, I think we'll do some animal puppets, tree crafts or  there are some fun creation numbers to color. Otherwise, I'll incorporate these ideas in future lessons that apply. This morning is Ladies Bible Study and our weekly lunch with a good friend.

D woke up wanting to be fed at 4:30 am this morning and I couldn't go back to sleep. Today is my sister's birthday who passed away in 2004 and I miss her so much. It's a melancholy day for me.
